First American School of Real Estate classes are held in locations throughout Washington State.

All our classes are booked through First American's Sales Representatives. Please contact your First American Sales Representative directly for more information, or click here to see a list of upcoming classes.

All classes are interactive, instructor-lead, classroom style delivered in locations around Washington State.  Please contact your First American Sales Representative for information on upcoming classes or to book a class in your real estate office.

Attendance

Please confirm the start and end time of your class with your First American Sales Representative.  If you arrive late or leave early, you may not receive your clock hours.

Reissuing Certificates

We need the following information in order to reissue your certificate:

Your name
Real estate office name
The location where you took the class
The date of the class
Where/How to send the reissued certificate to you

Before we can reissue your certificate, we need to confirm your attendance at the class.  Our records are filed by date.

Course List  Our course list includes these classes, but is not limited to:  The Escrow Process, Internet Security, Contact Management Systems, The ALTA Homeowner's Policy, Microsoft Outlook Basics, The Short Sale Transaction, RESPA and You, Purchase & Sale Agreement-Forms Through Negotiation, Managing Your Listings, Escrow Scene Investigation, Title Insurance 101: Peace of Mind, Profitable Farming for Minimal Efforts, Target Market w/Your Title Company's Customer Service Department, Remodeling Your Business to Fit Today's Market, Home Warranties, 2008-2009 CORE Curriculum, Understanding the Multicultural RE Customer, and Creating/Managing Successful Lead Generation System.  Technology course prerequisites include a fundamental knowledge of computer basics. 

Course Requirements
  To complete your course and receive continuing education credit you must complete the registration form including your signature,  attend the whole class, and pay the required tuition before the class begins.  There is no auditing of any course.  Anyone attending a course must pay the required fee.

Admission  All courses are open to all persons whether or not they are licensed real estate agents.  First American will not deny admission, base course fees, or base standards for successful completion of a course on a student's race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, familial status, age, or sexual orientation.  This school of real estate will operate in compliance with all local, state and federal anti-discrimination laws.

Students with Special Needs  Notification to First American of any and all types of personal needs involving physical emotional, and learning difficulties and/or needs related to the Americans with Disabilities Act is the sole responsibility of the student.  While all reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individual needs, it is conceivable that some conditions and circumstances are beyond our ability.

Causes for Dismissal  A First American instructor, administrator, or a consultant hired on behalf of First American may preclude or dismiss a student from the classroom if a student may affect or is affecting the integrity of the learning environment.  Conditions for readmission are based on the mutual agreement of the instructor, student and the school administrator.

Inclement Weather  If the class location is closed or plans on opening late or closes early, we will have to plan accordingly.  Please check the class schedule for updates, or phone 253-606-6606.  In the event of a closure, we will notify students via telephone.  No refunds are given due to inclement weather or natural disasters unless the class is cancelled.

Course Materials  Students may receive a workbook, handouts, and other materials as a part of the course. Unless otherwise stated, the course materials are the property of First American Title and are not to be reprinted or distributed without permission. 

Certificates of Completion & Record Retention  Certificates of completion will be mailed or delivered to the student within 30 days of the class completion.  Students will be required to sign in at the beginning of class and sign out at the end of class.  First American will maintain student attendance records for 5 years as required by the State of Washington.  If a student leaves class early, arrives late , or leaves the classroom for an extended period of time, he or she will not receive a certificate of completion.
